I got my 2006 S model in August of 2007 with 1,900 miles on it, bone stock, and including a sport chock front wheel chock and a DP rear pit stand for $8,500.

I assume you're dealing with a dealer, not a private party, because if it's not an 'S' model, that's not a good price at all.

The bar end weights will still work if you add a centerstand.

You shouldn't have to pay more than $6,500 plus tax, title, license for a leftover 2006 model.
Also, changes in the exchange rates have little to no effect on prices here in the US.
