Which one?   Posted: Fri Apr 08, 2016 7:10 pm
Fastfaz, that rings a bell. There's a guy who was a member here, very keen on his motorcycles apparently. I met him as part of a small group riding to my first EMM. He had the latest Hypermotard, all ...

I had a 620 and an 1100. Go for the 1100, it is a little more refined than the 1000, with a wet clutch and most of the niggles sorted. Another pointer to it's evolution is that on rideouts my 1100 alw ...

What I forgot to mention was its service record. Probably the most important items are the cam belts. Recommended to be changed no later than every 2 years. So if there is no record, and you buy the b ...

Benn, welcome to the forum.

I had a 620 Multi and it was a very nice bike. Lighter than the 1000 and 1100 and powerful enough to give a thrill.

Not much goes wrong with them, but one thing to be ...

My budget is £5K max really so a 1200 is out of the question sadly.

Shame. Mad Mind you, Those 1100's are pretty good too. I had one and loved it.

Good luck, I'm sure the right one will turn ...

Have you thought of a 1200? Mine is for sale, (see Marketplace), though of course it's quite a bit more expensive than an 1100, but worth it if you can afford it.

Trading my Hyperstrada for a Multistrada UPDATE   Posted: Fri Nov 07, 2014 9:12 pm
Go for the MY 13 if you can afford it. The engine/LED lights/Skyhook were real improvements that year, with the engine upgrades giving low rev smoothness and better fuel consumption.

But if the pe ...

It's easy to fall for a thoroughbred. She'll seduce you Wink

If the bike has been stored outside, definitely check the instrument panel. Condensation inside can be dried out if it is put somewh ...

Tonic,

Andy is right, the 1100 is the later iteration of the bike and most of the niggles were addressed, along with a tad more power and torque. The 'S' version has Ohlinns suspension which is gen ...

The aircooled are full of character, but the watercooled are so much more up to date and integrated.

Either bike will thrill you.

As for electronic gizmos, t ...

I'd say that is a nice looking bike. Check the service record is up to date, as this is important, though I see he says it has been serviced properly. I also see a Monster in the garage, so I'd say th ...
