the S4R is a beautifull naked bike, just like the most of you describe it...
it also has the same (or a bit higher) price than the multi.. (at least here in Greece)

For my way of seen, multi is a great bike to ride everyware!
ofcource the first 1 or 2 years i wouldn't program trips over 4000km, to give the bike (and me) time for settings or improvements.

i found in the multi (not my own yet...  ) the same comfort that i found on GS and TDM.
if you have a covered place to keep her, i think that you will love it.
i am getting tired over the 180km ... |

ok i 've never had to maintenance a multi!
but just tires and oil?
in my opinion 2 valve twins have an easier (cheaper) and understundable maintenance...
That doesn't means "just tires and oil ... |
