Greetings all high mileage   Posted: Thu Feb 25, 2010 8:17 pm
Mine is at 34000, commuting in all weathers.
10000 miles in the first year, less since then. No problems, except losing some engine paint, but they all do that. Just as quick now as when new.

Anyone go from a Monster to Multi? (or have both?)   Posted: Tue Aug 04, 2009 3:01 pm
I recently had an S4r for a bit. Didn't like it at all. Very fast & great handling, but I didn't look forward to riding it, so it had to go.

I bought it because I regarded it as a different tak ...

Sealey is ok quality. I agree with your concerns about an alloy socket, and can see no advantages in it. The weight saving hardly matters when it sits in your tookbox.

Rear Wheel Nut Tool - What's Best? (UK)   Posted: Tue May 05, 2009 6:26 pm
I regularly buy from tooled-up.com reasonable prices & good quality kit. I can't remember exactly but I got a pair of 3/4" sockets in 41mm and 46mm and a 1/2" - 3/4" adapter for abo ...

Need Honest Opinion on a Trade   Posted: Sun Mar 15, 2009 11:47 am
I wouldn't swap for a bike 3 years older. However the MTS is still a brilliant bike, so I'd consider getting a newer one or getting a cash adjustment on the deal.

Handling of the MS comparison   Posted: Fri Feb 06, 2009 11:12 am
I feel they're rather pointless on a street Multi

I'd agree. I have the ohlins shock on my ST4s and whilst it looks great I have to be honest and say that it dioesn't really handle any better than ...

Hmmm, I remember the posts about your problem. Thank fully I had the standard metal cover on, otherwise it would have come right out through a carbon cover.

The only real damage was to the cover wh ...

South coast (ish) dealer to avoid   Posted: Mon Jan 05, 2009 4:00 pm
Avoid Alan Lear Motorcycles in Winchester.

A few weeks ago I bought an ST2 as a winter runabout. The previous owner took it there for a new clutch a week before I bought the bike. 300 miles after I ...

Mines a clutch lever, best go with McDuc.

Cheers,

Mark.

Kurt,
I think I've got a brand new one at home (can't remember whether its brake or clutch side), I'll check tonight - you can have it for 2/3 of the retail price if you want.

Leave it well alone.

If its been neglected on the outside then its been neglected on the inside too - unless he can show you receipts for services then I'd seriously doubt that they were done.

Come on mate, this is a Website for people who love their Ducatis, and in particular for people who love their Multistradas. What did you expect us to say?

Oh and by the way its quite a good bike.

My shortlist went like this:

MTS - discounted originally as it would surely break down Sad
Aprilia Tuono - footrests too high to be comfortable
MTS - really want one , but surely it won't be reli ...

Mines got 23000 miles on it, and after a couple thorough services its fitter than when I bought it at 1000 miles.

Look after it and it'll be fine
