Definitively, that piece on the engine side case right side is oil pressure sender. Temperature senders there are two, the one for the instrument panel gauge is at the oil cooler bottom right side and ...

Go ahead! I made the change from M600 to MTS1000 and very happy since. I got exactly what you are looking after, more long ride comfort and capability. 1200 is even better on ergonomics AFAIK. Monster ...

I'd believe there are plenty of better bikes for winters than MTS. I'd be also very surprised if Ducati has ever tested ABS and traction control of 1200 model for such conditions like winter, computer ...
