It's difficult to put a finite figure on chain mileage

A bike that only gets ridden in the dry and has the chain lubed every ride and is not wheelied, may get 30,000 from a chain

My 2004 is for sale, same colour but with less miles (about half)

Is fitted with Termigoni's and matching ECU and airbox

Yep......

So the stroke is the same and the barrel and piston are larger

What about the head? is that the same?

My 04 Multistrada has proved more reliable than my 04 Caponord

The Caponord needed stuff rectifying that the factory built in, the Ducati has had to have nothing......

Taking all the obvious reasons why you would by a MTS against a GS, just looks alone. But, I am in a dilemma, do I go for something that really is proven on miles over many yrs but isnt as pretty or w ...

Yup, the more I think about this the above is good advice

A Multistrada 100/1100 is exactly what you need to get the Ducati experience

You may find you don't want or need any other bike

Under normal "rules", I would say no, get something in-between the two extremes and learn to ride with about 100BHP, a classic 1100/1000 Multistrada perhaps

But then the 1200 has 3 x powe ...
