Haven't ridden a 1000 so can't comment re comparative speeds. Can't imagine the 1100 is any slower.
Have ridden both the 1100 and 1100s. Bought the s because I reckon the Ohlins are fantastic on ... |

There's no difference between the 07 and the 08, and as far as I know, nothing new for the 09 apart from the colour options.

Not true....
I have owned both. Both are excellent, but the Ohlins give a plusher ride, eating up the bumps and ridges in the pavement. If you get the Showa version you can dial back the front ... |
