Traded my sv650s for a multi- 2000 miles with termis for $8500.
Tough to do but glad I did.
The gas mileage seems rather poor- is that due to the exhaust?
I had the corbin seat installed- it seems to be angled forward, but time will tell if that mellows with time.
Does everyone with a pre- 2005 model change out the instrument cluster under warrantee?
Does it make sense to extend the warrantee- mine will come up in August. |

Congrats on your new machine. I just got a used 04 MTS myself. Traded my 01 Falco for it. I haven't had a chance to do an actual mileage check yet, but rode over to Greenville SC to the BMW/Ducat/Aprilia dealer to pick up a carbon hugger (they mailed me a 15% off coupon). Took the hightway down, the low fuel light came on at 100 miles, rode another 25 miles before filling up, I've forgotten how much fuel it took.
The dealership had a Sargent seat for sale ($299.00) it looked nice, I had one on the Falco, but if it causes the rider to slide forward I don't want one.
The instrument pod on mine is the original, although the original owner used some adhesive on the mounting standoffs, because the instrument cluster came loose a couple of times. |
