I own an FZ1 or Fazer as it sometimes called and am looking at getting a new bike that does what the FZ does so wonderfully. (ie Speed, Handling and Comfort) But with some Style. If I go Monster it would be the S4R. Thanks |

Just traded my S4R for a multistrada. The S4R is possilby the most fabulous motorcycle i have ever owned (56, 25 of them italian). However, completely impracticle for anything other than short blasts of fun, the fuel range is abismal, the seat too small for two up and its almost impossible to put any luggage on it for weekends away. For sheer fun though difficult to beat. |

I also have a FZ-1 (Fazer 1000) in my harem.
What I dont like of it, is that my legs are very cramped (34"Inseam)
The Multi has the best seating position of the 3 bikes you quote, the
"S" model has a VERY good seat compared to the first models (04),
much wider mirror stems, HD handlebar, and the best part is the
OHLINS suspension all around.
The power is much less than the FZ-1 although the torque is about 3 times, or at least that is my perception.
Torque is what I want from an engine (this is what you use 90% of the time.)
My suggestion: Test drive one. (An "S") |
