Hello All

I've been lurking for some time, but now finally have a reason to post.
A friend of mine is looking to sell a 2006 620. The bike has 3k miles on her and has never been dropped. He is getting ready to move and he knows that ive been eyeballing his bike for a while. I think I can get it for $3500. I've been riding for about 10 years but this will be my first Non-Crusier

My questions

Is that a reasonable price?
What maint. items / issue should I be looking for?

Thanks in advance[/img]

With only 3k miles, I doubt you will have any wear issues. The PO probably never even got to the first service beyond 600 miles. As far as maintenance, the belts and fluids should definitely be changed. Seven year old tires may be rock hard. If the bike has been sitting any length, you can probably look forward to a leaking fork seal sometime soon. But as long the bike has been somewhere protected from the elements, it should be in good condition otherwise...

Not sure of the kbb or MCN listed values, but I'd probably pay $3500 for it, assuming the PO is the original owner, and it's in very good shape.

+ 1

Be sure to include both brakes and clutch in the fluid change.

Thx Molly & TwoTone

The bike has been garaged the entire time and the PO was a fair weather/weekend warrior. He was fairly miticulous with the bike. No leaks that I can see. Im going to offer 3K and see what happens

Good plan. He probably doesn't have many folks lined up to buy it, and may just go for a quick sale. Good luck. Sounds like you've found a nice bike.
