Ironically, this bike was American. In fact, all three of them were imported by this motorcycle shop. We have two m/c businesses locally that specialize in finding surplus US bikes, importing them into Canada and then reselling them. In fact, my '04 ST1300 is one of those imports from 2007.
In this case, I'm not sure if the write-off status is formally declared on the Canadian ownership or not. I believe that it should have been, as we did have provincial requirements for doing so, and because it would not have passed the importation inspection.
Even if not properly declared, it should be obvious to anyone - if they knew what they were looking at. It has all the workings of an 1100 with the bodywork and badging of a 1000.
So, salvage title plus '05 bodywork on an '08 chassis should have a significant impact on its pricing. |

One of my buddies (on here also) has a newer bike he swapped with older bodywork because he prefered the silver/grey colour.
Looks sharp too!
The biggest hit I think would be salvage title. |

Well that, and trying to explain to a prospective buyer that the bike is *really* an 1100 and not a 1000. |

YEP..........IF you are interested go low ,they want to much and they have been sitting on it a long time ..Yes?
offer them 5 k and see what they say
In Calgary last year a very nice, well sorted, with nice aftermarket exhaust ,stock bags , 2006 1000 s went for 6k ...he was asking 6500
I have also seen 2004, 2005, 2006 ," S models and standard" here and they were asking from 5500 to 6500..depending on options and mileage/km ..etc ..what they sold for ..I dunno..they still may 4 sale.
7000 to 7500.. should buy a " primo " 1100 S ..07..08 if one came up..

the title will say 1100, shouldn't be a squabble there!
Try to work a deal, those silver/grey S's are the rarest of rare!
