Hi All,
I am new to forum. I am looking at buying a 2006 620 w/ 7900 miles.
Question about a service item reported by the seller:
The seller reports that the bike will sometimes lurch forward if he attempts a cold start in first gear. He reports that his buddy says it is likely 'due to cold primary fluid.'
I searched the forum and around the web and couldn't find reports of the same problem.
Can any of you experts out there help diagnose?
All my best,
Nels |

It sounds to me like the wet clutch plates are sticking together (fibers to steels). This can happen if the moto sits without the transmission being used for some time. However, some motor oils will also cause this problem.
I would also double-check the free-play at the hydraulic clutch lever tip.
It should be set to 10mm. |

I bought mine used with unknown oil type and time it sat in the previous owner's garage . I put Castrol Actevo synthetic oil and the issue went away. |
