Dealers first proposal US $14,500 OTD.
2005 1000DS w/ Termi, box, and ecu. Does come with 2yr service.
Seems a little high, but have not countered. What do you think? |

I think the Termi, box and ecu is pretty expensive. It's probaly adding $1500 to $2000 US to the price. |

Bought my 1000 S-DS a month and a half ago in Italy for 12200 Euros and no Termis. It was the lowest price I could get from a sticker of 13500.
Some magazines there now are showing a sticker at 13200 Euros.
I think that in the States as I did in Italy, you better start from the sticker price and work your way down, call other dealers also to find out how much the exhaust is really worth.
Don't get rushed, be patient, investigate, it pays off. |

Last Thursday I saw and was offered a 2004, new with comfort seat for $8500, or a 2005 with 400 miles for $9200.

The two year free service is included standard now so don't let the dealer fool you into thinking that they are giving you something extra with that. It's the off season for bike sales even in San Diego, so take advantage of it when haggling the price. |

I'm selling an 05 S model. It's got the ohlins suspension and all the other knick-nacks. 5500 miles, 1.5 years left on the factory warranty, perfect condition. Also has a nice remus pipe, but if you don't like that I also have the stock muffler. Bike is in the bay area, contact me at ellijoe@sbcglobal.net if you are interested.
Asking 12000, bike is located in SF bay area, CA |
