Wife gave the go ahead so I'm shopping for my multi. Found an 05 1000ds and the dealer was all excited cause he wants to get rid of his old stock and their website has it listed as, "on sale". Call the dealership up and he was going to discount it 1 grand to 10995$ plus freight, taxes.
I'm still looking........

How much will dealerships discount these bikes?? If at all.

Just curious

Thanks
david

Dealer in San Rafael, CA has them for $10,250 plus tax, etc. I don't know about freight.

Monroe Motors, S.F. CA, offered to sell me one "out the door" for I think it was $11,000. That included 8.75 CA tax. (OUCH) and everything else.
It was either $11,000 or $12,000 Think , in early February.

I thought the 05 1000ds retailed for 11,500 and not 11,995. Is that wrong? I know they went up but not sure if that was for 05 or 06. A different dealer offered an 06 1000S ds for 12,995, but he didn't have any ds models. I'm looking for a 1000 ds just cause its more in my price range.

I believe the '05 ds was 11,995 and the ds"S" was 13,495. Only the the "S" went up 500 for '06 to 13,995, but it is still worth the extra 2000.

http://www.kissellmotorsports.com/new_ve...&pov=153657

Found this on cycletrader and am going to pick it up tomorrow. So excited I can barely type....

Supposedly the owner of the shop used this bike and it has 450 miles on it. They are doing the 600 mile service (no charge)before I pick it up and will get the 6000 mile service done close to home.

Did I get a decent deal??? will be paying 10,054 otd

I paid $10,500 OTD, including the 2yr service deal that was offered in Febuary. I don't see that service deal now but at the first two services are probably a $1,000 value.

I suspect you could push for 10K OTD....l

I got 10,054 OTD. Well I gotta pay tax in maryland but the 600 mile service is already done.

Insurance quotes were astronomical.
foremost quoted me 1700$
geico was in the upper 900's$
progressive which I went with was 696$
I will probably check a few more companies later.

If you're in Maryland, try State Farm.
