I have a little altercation with some road debris last Saturday that resulted in a ruined front wheel. The wheel is un-repairable so I am now in the market for a replacement. I thought I remembered someone posting on this site for a pair of front/rear but I can't seem to find it. This was the Int'l Bike Show week in Seattle and the regional DNA guys have offered to search for any fronts that have been returned under warrany for cosmetic reasons that they could either give me or sell cheap but I have been warned not to hold out much hope. If anyone can help I would appreciate it. Otherwise the guesstimat on a new raw wheel is $600-900 US. On the other hand I feel so lucky for keeping the bike upright I shouldn't complain too much.

Duc, this guy is parting out his 748, not sure of the details on the specific wheels or if they can even be mounted on a MTS. He is local to me and I could help you out in any way if you like. Except buy them for you

perfect time to get a wheel from a 998/748 and some trick brake rotors. The wheel will mount up no problem, but a different spacer is required. |

I am parting out my 748. Some may have seen my 853 cc 112 HP motor for
sale. (It is still avail. if anyone's interested, freshened up /
serviced last winter good to go)
Other bits available:
Suspension: 748 setup for 200-220 lb rider
748 Showa Forks with Ohlins GP Valves. Springs are 0.95 kg. The forks
were rebuilt last winter. ~ $1000 invested over the winter, these
would be a great upgrade to any superbike ($500)
Penske 3-Way adjustable with 475 lb spring. Also rebuilt last winter
by Peter Kates @ GMD Computrack. ($500)
Wheels - Brembo 3-Spoke Stock Wheels Brand New, Never on Bike ($350)
Carbon Fiber Gastank: Fuel Cell Carbon Fiber Gastank. This is the race
version so it requires relocation of the ignition. Most Ducati shops
shouldn't have any problem accommodating this. It was painted black,
so I had the tank sanded down and a fresh coat of primer is on ready
for paint. ($800)
Brakes:
Brembo Goldline 4-Piston (2-Pad) Brakes and rotors (OEM Equipment on
2000 748) ($350) I also have the rear brake / rotor for ($100)
AFAM Quick Change Sprocket Carrier and 14 / 39 T sprocket set (ultra
low miles) $150
Stock Airbox (red): $75
Stock Undertray: $50
Stock Rear Shock: $75
I also have all the misc parts including Triple Clamps.
