Ask your banker what the loan value of it is. If you can get it for less than that, its a good deal. On an 07 loan value is basically going to be the used value even if it is new. |

MCN's -used- bike guide for Spring '10 lists an '07 multi standard for $8405 USD. Given the climate for used multis these days, I'd say that was a bit generous.
If I was looking at a 3 year old new multi, I don't think I'd want to pay more than $10 grand, and that's OTD with maybe a goodie or two thrown in. Bear in mind, that's just a WAG (wild ass guess). |

Hes asking 10 before taxes . Wow after seeing the new one geez , that thing is BAD ! I think I would get 10 k useage out of the 07 more than 20k out of the new one though . |

Sounds like y'all are in the ballpark, so hopefully you can wrangle a deal you are happy with.
The new multi is pretty bad. You probably shouldn't take a demo ride on one or you may start doubting that usage value. While I am very happy with my '08, after a couple of test rides, I know there is a 1200 in my future. Just don't know when. |

I think 10K is a bit too much for this one. The second you roll off the dealer's floor, you have 3 year old bike. See what 07 Multi's are going for, perhaps add 1K for for low mileage, and you got your price. I would say 8K tops. |

If he sweetened the deal with hard bags, and centerstand, and extended warranty, do the 600mile service for free. I think that would be a good deal. Or do 10k out the door. |

I don't know. It's a 3 year old bike as soon as it rolls off the floor, but until then it's a brand spankin' shiny new one. |

Just give a list of all the free stuff you want with it. If you get half of what you ask for it's a good deal. Service will most likely be what the dealer is willing to throw in for free since most of all the 600 mile service is all profit any way. |
