Sure, two Ducati's would not suck. But to only have one. The multi will do. But my 2 cents. the S4R looks to buzy to be naked. needs some cooling fins.

i think the S4R is hands down the best looking Ducati they make. But then again I like red Ducatis with white wheels.

There's no magic number for me Embarassed , I'll always have less bikes than I would if I could afford them Very Happy Shifty .

Bottom line: I have the one I lusted for and still am "in love" with Smile Angel .

I test rode the S4R before riding the MS, all I can say is that it was no contest as far as I was concerned

Oh lord, I read this story and think that the higher the number of bikes the better. But there is always a point of return. I had three bikes. 900SS (street), 748R (street) and 748S for the track. Insurance and riding cost started to become a pain in the neck. Then I rode the MTS in Italy during the WDW2004 and was sold. Came back home and immediately sold the 900SS and 748R to trade in for the MTS. I guess I miss the 748R once in a while when you want to do some real hard riding. But in the Netherlands there is not really any opportunity anymore to do (except the track). When I bought the MTS1000 my style became completely different with the bike. The MTS can be handled in an agressive way different then I was used from the 748R.
O guess "gasgaseffinfast" that you have the same with the MTS and the S4R. I think you make a good choise. Even when 3, 4, 5 or more is better this will do the job.

Cheers,

Michel.

I currently ride and S4R and can say that the gearing needs to be changed for general street duty. I dropped the front on mine to a 14t. It helps a good bit. Prior to that it was luggy in stop and go traffic. I may also add to the rear once I have the $$$. A friend did a 520 conversion on his to go to a 14t up front and 44 in back. Supposed to make it perfect for in town use. You may want to try a gearing change before you lose money trading it in so soon.
