I've taken a test ride of the 1200S Touring, and I'm pretty certain that this is my next bike. Except...
I'm 6'4" and always have problems with seat height. The cockpit on this one seems to have enough room. However, I really need to scoot a couple inches further back but can't -- the pillion seat being on a riser makes it act as a bum stop.
What have others done in this situation? I'm familiar with custom seats (I have a Russell on my BMW RT) but I'm not certain how well this would work out given the shape and configuration of the two seat pans. Perhaps the rider seat could be raised and the pillion lowered so that they blend in together?
Any suggestions? |

Corbin used to make custom seats. He may be to big for that now. Might ck out his site though.
http://www.corbin.com/ducati/dmulti10.shtml
He has one that transitions a little smoother but still kinda uneven.
Good luck on that.
If yaz do get him ta make a flat seat make sure we get to see it.
Tell ole Mike that Multistrada.net sent ya! |
