Seeing as the MTS classic center stand is so hard to find these days......does anyone know if any other Ducati model center stand will fit an MTS 1100 - even if it needs a bit of welding modification?
How about the center stand from a 1200 MTS......anyone think it could be modified to fit a classic? |

The 1200 will not even be close. You can check any of the other bikes using the same 1100/1000 engine and the swingarm like the hypermotto. I think the hypermotto will fit, I am not sure about the monster. |

Well if someone has access to the tools to turn a CAD drawing into a stand and would be willing to make more than 1 - then I'm in to buy.
My weld skills are OK for modifications, but I lack the bending tools to manufacture from scratch.

one step ahead it turns out that the CAD was a wast of time as the stand itself is not to bed but the mounting brackets are the real challenge I have a prototype stand made up and it's looking good but I will try to change the design of the mounting as the existing brackets are very difficult and expensive to manufacture
I still have few more ideas up mu sleeve but just not enough time
just to give you a little taste of what I've done

Gregski,
You are right on the money. The weldment of the centerstand would not be that difficult to fabricate, but the mounting brackets are where the challenge would be.
The stock brackets (same for 620 and 1x00) are both castings with the pivot machined in. They would be much more difficult to fabricate.

That looks great. Hope it works.
Do you know the size and pitch of the drilled buss on the frame where the lift handle for the center stand attaches. |

I'm interesting in Your "prototype", because of I have the mounting barackets on my MTS1000DS without the stand. (I bought the Multi just two weeks ago) |

I hate to say it but all you need is the original center stand and a china connection. |

And right ther is a big part of whats wrong in the U.S.
As a small manufacturer, I take comments like that as an insult. |
