Hiya all, been lusting after a Multi since swinging a leg over one in '09. Now there's a white 09 in our little retirement berg in FL(most unusual to find anything other than cruisers or wings here), 1 ownah, 15k, always Duck serviced, termis, gel and stock otherwise. he didn't detail it out and I imagine I was looking at normal grime under the engine and cooked chain lube on the down pipe(funny white ash).

It started up slowly like a 12 cyl ferarri, about 10-15 revs before it caught, sound typical? And it popped a tad lean while bumping the throttle while cold-also normal?

P3s w/about 3k o them, never down BUT no bags. What would I pay for a set of oem bags?

Any other thoughts about it and what I should look for? Asking 8k down from 9k(too much). Thanks!

8k for a 09 is a bit on the high side. Just look fora used 010.

In Feb. I paid $8k for an '08 1100s with 11k miles. Had what this one has plus the hard cases and a top case and a couple other goodies. If you can find the factory bags, a used set with the mounting brackets will probably set you back between $600-700 my guess.
Good luck.

Thanks all, been doing a final review of the Tiger v MS debate. Seller is generous and offering a test ride so will get a feel this week. The last Duck i rode was an orange tank 750 in about 1977, think this one's a bit different? Mr. Green

Have fun this weekend. A friend of mine had a Tiger 800. He ended up selling after a year. Suspension had a lot of travel, but he felt it was pretty stiff and the windshield was really bad for him. He know has a KTM 990 Supermoto. But I have another friend that has one and loves it. Bikes as you know are different for each person.

Lots of 800s for sale in no time at all-strange. I did that with a Bonnie online-loved the look, rave reviews and hated the thing-sold it in 3 months(made a couple 100 at least).

How about a Multi on boring flat FL roads? The roads are the only ones to make me even think about a cruiser but I just can't do it yet-still have a few years left in me before the barcalounger bike is due.

My 1100s is comfortable on the straight highway. Well, it is comfortable now that I have a Rick Mayer Cycle custom seat on it. The stock seats have limited padding.

The gel seat is better than OEM. Mine had it. I got a sale price deal on my RMC seat, so went with it, as had his seat on my former bike - BMW K1200GT.
