Hi everyone,

First, thanks to all who post for a very informative resource.

I rode a new Multi last week, and absolutely fell in love. Unfortunately, my bank account does not agree with the price of a new one. I managed to find a used 2003 though, completely stock, ~7500 miles, seemingly well maintained.

Any thoughts on what a fair price for such a bike is?

Thanks in advance.

I'm guessing $7,500-$8,500

Does it come with bags?

No bags. Tires are fairly new and he had the 6k service done at a good dealer. One minor scratch that I'm not too worried about, and no mods whatsoever aside from the addition of a center stand.

Stock is nice of course, but it also means I'd likely be spending money on a seat, mirrors, topcase, and likely exhaust in the not too distant future.

Yes, you can easily drop 3k on upgrades. If you can get it for around $7,500, that is probably a good deal. It would probably be marked at around $8,500 if it were in a shop.

If you keep looking around, you may find an '04 with all the upgrades for $9,000 to $9,500.

Good luck, have fun..(you will)

I just bought a 2003 with 7600 miles on it for $7600. It had the large hard bags and a center stand. The previous owner had not had the 6K service done, so I did that to catch any warranty issues and also replaced the clutch and slave cylinder.
