Hey ... first post!
I'm seriously close to buying this bike ... it's SO gorgeous and FAST.
Any issues (good or bad) with this year/model? Is it a reliable bike?
I'm planning to ride it from Seattle to South Dakota and back. After that ship it to Australia then to SE Asia.
How is the parts availability and service in SE Asia?
Thanks, Jake |

Try to make sure all the updates have been done, especially the antifreeze recall. |

My impression is that they don't usually have a clue! I like to know before I go in there! |

I currently own a 2010 S model. The only problem I've experienced in 5 years is that the engine will occasionally die while rolling up to a stop. The dealer "fixed" the problem, but in doing so the ambient temp no longer reads correctly. Small price to pay I guess, but....... |

I am looking at a 2010S with around 20,000 miles on it. It has been well maintained and in excellent condition. Can I expect this to be reliable, I am planning on long trips with this. |

As mentioned before in this thread, make sure all updates have been done. Most likely any issues would've raised their ugly head by now. I have a '10 with nearly 40k miles on it and still running strong. I usually do a couple tours each summer, commute daily, and also run on the track. Yes, I've had some issues, but long ago within warranty (thankfully) and has been problem free since. |
