I posted this question in the new member spot. I hope you don't mind my asking again here. I got a couple of good responces but I'd like to get a little more feedback.
I'm about to buy a Multistrada. I work on a yacht and I think the 620 with the lighter weight will be easier to get on and off the boat. I also just enjoy the feeling and easy handeling of a lighter bike and don't care about being the fastest out there.
I'm going to be riding 2 up on some fairly long trips sometimes in European mountains. Do you guys think the 620 will handle 2 adults without bogging it down too much? I'm not too crazy about spending an extra near $4,000 just so I can carry a passenger on a trip once in awhile.

powerwise i don't think that it would be a problem, but from the feedbac that i got from my wife after her short rides on the back of my mts i wouldn't recomend a multi for any long distance 2-up touring

I have a 1000ds and I owned an ST2 before that. The MS is a much better overall 2 up bike than the ST2. The ST2 had no ride height adjustment. The wife is about 130 and the ST2 would bottom out on bigger bumps! The MS with its longer travel, and ride height adjust is really smooth and settled 2up. My wife is 5 7 and she has never complained about being cramped or uncomfortable. The MS is a great 2up platform for me!

You'll want a more comfortable seat, regardless of motor size. But I say go for it!

Thanks a lot for your answers you guys! Sounds like 620's power will work.
I took one out for a test ride and within 60 seconds I felt I could do anything with it, I loved it! Plenty quick for me to have fun. The seat seemed fine for me too, but maybe I have a bit more built in padding than most of you guys. hehehe

I have ridden 2 up a bunch on the multi 620 couple hr trips.. I think if you are planning on ridding 2 up allot I would go with the bigger bike. It has the power, but I think it is a better solo touring bike.. Due to the engine size.
