FOR SALE - Aug 2003 Multistrada 1000 DS
I have for some time been seriously considering selling or swapping my red (The fastest colour ) 2003 (03-Reg) Multistrada 1000 DS.
She is garaged and in excellent condition and only just clocked 4k miles.
The end of last year she had the following work carried out by W.M.Snell in Alton, Hampshire.
New engine casings. The paint on the old casings was peeling, a common problem on all Multistrada's even the 620's.
New front brake banjo bolt. To prevent brake shudder.
New 2005 side stand. The earlier ones are a joke - These have since been changed on the later Multistrada's .
New Shell oil and oil filter change. As recommended by Ducati.
Rear brake master cylinder.
Oil feed & return braided hoses.
Front brake light switch - original switch gave up the ghost.
New battery.
Ducati Performance Carbon Fibre Hugger.
Datatool System 3 Alarm & Immobiliser.
*Powerbronze / Blue-Matrix Double Bubble Airflow Rainbow Iridium Screen.*
Ducati Performance Race Levers.
Satin black wheels and red rim tape.
OBERON:
Gold anodised bar end weights.
Gold anodised foot rests (Front & Rear).
Gold anodised Pre-Load Adjusters.
Gold anodised Tax Disc Holder.
Pro-Bolt:
Gold anodised Screen bolts.
Gold anodised Oil filler cap / plug.
Gold anodised frame caps from Germany.
I have all of the keys, including spares and the red master key plus a spare alarm fob and all of the documents in my name V5C (Log book), warranty book and other paperwork relating to the bike.
You are welcome to visit my home to view the bike or alternatively view my personal picture gallery to see pictures of the actual bike - Apologies for the poor quality, the pictures were all taken with a mobile phone camera.
* Please note: The screen is now as stated above.*
I am fastidious and you will have great difficulty in locating a better 2003 Ducati Multistrada 1000 DS.
£4,950 ovno
Richard.
P.S. The Multistrada is a great bike and I'll most probably return at some stage however my reason for sale is my yearning for a 998 or 996 is overwhelming - I can feel the force of the 'Dark Side' |

I'd give anything if I lived near you! You have the bike I've been looking for for the past 2 years. Oh well, I guess I'll keep looking. Good luck! |

Thanks, she is a great bike, I'm sure that when someone comes to see her it will be love at first sight.
I met a friend (another Multi owner and Multistrada.net member) yesterday and we rode up to W.M. Snell Open Day.
The route is excellent and varied which suits the Multi well - long and fast straights, long and fast sweeping bends uphill twisties and downhill twisties with some very tight hairy bends (not the sort of tight hairy bends you may be thinking about ). The hilly section has a broken tree canopy during the warmer months which is predominantly shaded with the sun breaking through in places, some areas remain damp for a period due to the shade, particularly on the downhill twisties.
She is made for roads like these and is in her element, I'm torn and I'll be very sad to see her go but my desire for a 998 or 996 is overwhelming.
Richard. |

Someone (a time waster) offered me his Ducati as a straight swap and then decided to change the deal after I had withdrawn my Multistrada from the eBay auction without even seeing my bike and leaving me with a fee to pay, anyway she has been relisted on eBay, click on the link below.
