Hi All,
I am using a Ducati MH900e, 998, 999 and BMW R1150GS and have plan to trade the BMW by a Multistrada.
One problem to me is the small size fuel tank of the Multistrada, it can hold only 20 litres.
You know for touring, I am looking for a bigger tank.
Do you know whether the Ducati have plan to build a larger tank or any after market product available.
Regards,
William |

That's quite a collecion, my friend. A Multistrada would definately top that off (although I must say it is not a GS competitor).
I doubt whether there will be a large market for a larger tank. The tank has a complex shape, and is probably very expensive. Twenly litres will be quite enough for the large majority of the owners (it will be for me). |

I must admit that I had my doubts about the fuel capacity as all my other bikes have 5+ gallon tanks, (Gpz900, Z750, Klr650, Dr750.) but having had the MTS for 5 weeks and done 2k + miles mainly 300-400 at a time, although as yet no international travel (soon to be rectified!). The only pain, I think, is that the fuel light comes on when the tank is half full / empty. That said however, just go and buy one; you'll love it! |

20 Liters equals 5.28344 Gallons (US) . Plenty of gas for me. |

So far the fuel consumption of my Multi is more than enough (combined with the fuel tank's capacity).
I can do 300km on a tank with constant speeds at about 150-170km/h or can go up to 380-400km on a tank if I have an average speed near 120km/h. Having said that, 20 liters is enough for me
