Hello Ladies & Gents,
I am looking to swap my Ducati Multistrada 1000DS & Aprilia Pegaso 650 (Rotax 655) for a good 996/998/999.
My Multi first: She is garaged and in excellent condition and has travelled 4,700 miles.
The end of last year she had the following work carried out by W.M.Snell in Alton, Hampshire.
New engine casings. The paint on the old casings was peeling, a common problem on all Multistrada's even the 620's.
New front brake banjo bolt. To prevent brake shudder.
New 2005 side stand. The earlier ones are a joke - These have since been changed on the later Multistrada's .
New Shell oil and oil filter change. As recommended by Ducati.
Rear brake master cylinder.
Oil feed & return braided hoses.
Front brake light switch - original switch gave up the ghost.
New battery.
Ducati Performance Carbon Fibre Hugger.
Datatool System 3 Alarm & Immobiliser.
Powerbronze / Blue-Matrix Double Bubble Airflow Rainbow Iridium Screen.
Ducati Performance Race Levers.
Satin black wheels and red rim tape.
OBERON
Gold anodised bar end weights.
Gold anodised foot rests (Front & Rear).
Gold anodised Pre-Load Adjusters.
Gold anodised Tax Disc Holder.
Pro-Bolt
Gold anodised Screen bolts.
Gold anodised Oil filler cap / plug.
Gold anodised frame caps from Germany.
I have all of the keys, including spares and the red master key plus a spare alarm fob and all of the documents in my name V5C (Log book), warranty book and other paperwork relating to the bike.
My burgundy 1996 Aprilia Pegaso 650 (Rotax 655) has done 11,000 miles and recently had an oil and filter change, I'm also waiting for a new chain and sprockets to arrive.
Kind regards,
Richard.
P.S. The Multistrada is a great bike, personally I can't fault it, its an excellent all rounder, I suppose if I were to be very critical, with the standard exhaust pipes it does not sound as good as a Ducati 996 or 998, however the pipes can easily be changed for a pair of Termis, Staintunes or Zard etc etc. I'll most probably return at some stage however my reason for sale is my yearning for a Ducati 996, 998 or 999 is overwhelming.
Quite simply, I just fancy a change.
