Hey,

I am Peter from Belguim and excuse me for my poor english.

I had a M620 and now I ride a M750.
My M750 is for sale because I want to buy a MTS. I think the 620 will have enough power for me.

Now I have to choose between the coloured black version and the dark version.
The only difference is the single brake disc. But the dark has a 4 calliper brake and the coloured version has two 2 calliper brakes. I don't think there will be a great difference in braking power???

My girlfriend likes the dark more. I do not know what to do because it wild be logic that the 620 will be replaced wih the 695??

The MTS 620 has 6 gears. Howmany rpm's does the engine make with cruisin 120 km/u in 6th gear?

Thank you

PS: this is a great site!!

Dark vs Glossy black?!?!? Some people will say that with the dark you have the option to put the second brake on later an then have 2 4piston while to get that on the glossy you most replace more. I ride 2-up quite a bit on my glossy black 620 and there is plenty of stopping power from the 2 2piston brakes up front.

For your other question 120km = approx. 5250 rpm. Also at that speed 2-up I have been getting approx. 5L/100km

Also there is another thread here about how Ducati is planning on getting rid of the 620 or changing it into the 695. But they still offer a 750 displacement upgrade for the 620 and you will still only need to pay insurance on a 620. Insurance is always a concern here.

Good luck

I went today for a testdrive and I must say that I like the MTS620 a lot!!
There is a special edition of the MTS 620 in Belgium where you receive a termi exhaust, carbon mudguard and carobn belt covers for 500 €.

Now I will sell my M750 and order the MTS620. I thought about the color and I decided to buy a red MTS.

the Dark is stealthier, but we all know red is the faster color. Smile

Congrats on the new Multi! My wife rides a 620 Dark, and I ride a red 620. Enjoy, we do and know you will too.

I have had the dark mts for 12 k now & am very happy & had no problems at all..

I was talking about the differance between the dark & a painted multi with a painted owner. The only difference is the brakes.. Infact the dark should break aswell as the colored , because of the 4 calliper factor. If you get a 2nd break set up (4 calliper ) it will even better.. Just like the 749..

Yes I know but I still think it looks better with two brake discs.

I still have only one problem befor I will order my MTS. Will the looks change for the model of 2007. I think it will and therefore I will wait a little longer with ordering my MTS.

Read the other threads here. Odds are that the MTS 620/695 will not be in the line up for 07.

I think there will be a Multistrada 620 or 695 for 2007. It would not make sense to drop it from the line-up.

I've sold my Monster this week and I am planning now to buy an MTS.
If I buy a MTS620 it will be a new one. In Belguim it costs 8899 €. If you pay an additional 500 €, you receive a termi exhaust and carbon mudguard and belt-covers.

But I've found several MTS1000 on, the internet. They are all from '03 or '04, they are all out of warranty.
The prices are around 7000 €.
It is al lot of money and I 'm afraid that there will be costs with the MTS1000 (valave guides,....).

I have an other question about the ride height. I am 1m68 and can touch the ground on a MTS620 with my two feet, on my tips.
The MTS1000 is 20 mm higher but can be lowered. Can it be as low as the MTS620?

Thank you in advance.

I'm 175cm and the 620 is perfect. You might find sliding ahead on the seat will get your feet fully flat. As far as I understand a different seat might get you a little lower on the 1000 but I don't know how much.

500 euros for the exhaust and carbons is a great deal but 8899 for the bike doesn't seem real good to me. I'm in Canada and paid the equivalent of 7300 euros before tax which comes to about 8400 on the road with liscence and everything.

Good Luck and don't forget to keep it Shiny Side UP!

Hello,
My wife is riding on a 620 and is about your length.
Her bike is made lower with a part of an other Ducatimodel.( 7...)
It was done in the Netherlands ( Biggelaar Performance in Oisterwijk )
I hope you can read my poor Englisch.
Perhaps you can ask your dealer to look into that

Hey Arie,

Thanks but it works ok to ride the MTS1000 with my short feet. I can tough the ground enough to drive safely.

Ciao
