Here's the little bugger that will cause you grief.  Make sure it is torqued in correctly because if not it will back out and block the oil intake to the oil pump.  That's a $5000 problem.
Oil strainer
The OEM connecting rod does a great job.  You can make it just a bit better by polishing it to reduce any stress points on the surface.  Also, it looks cool.

Note how the port flows smoothly with no casting or milling lips to disrupt the flow.

The ports have been altered to smooth out the flow into and out of the head, resulting in better breathing.

This is what the transmission gears look like after they have been micro polished.  It's a shame to hide them in the engine cases.

By welding the cut down socket on the wrench I retain the original opening...25mm? just in case I ever need it.

One of our members makes a wonderful wrench for the right/left nuts on the rear wheel.  That same wrench has a third opening which is sized for a Triumph front wheel.  I cut down a socket and welded it to the small end of the wrench so now I can work on the front wheel while on a trip but not have to take another wrench to do the job.
