The 1000cc Multistrada was the first Multistrada model, introduced in 2003. There are two versions of the Multistrada with the 1000DS (Dual Spark) engine: the regular 1000 DS and the 1000S DS, which was introduced 2 years later. The main difference between the 'S' model and the regular 1000DS is the suspension, which is upgraded to Íhlins on the 'S'.
