What is this?
These are the rules you agree to when using this site. The user policy describes wat can and what cannot be done on this site. We cannot cover every eventuality here though, so certain events may not be described in this policy, but still be unwanted. It's up to the administrators to decide what is allowed.
Disclaimer
While the administrators and moderators of this forum will attempt to remove or edit any generally objectionable material as quickly as possible, it is impossible to review every message. All posts made to these forums express the views and opinions of the author and not the administrators, moderators or webmaster (except for posts by these people) and hence will not be held liable.
Any information you have entered is stored in a database. While this information will not be disclosed to any third party without your consent the webmaster, administrator and moderators cannot be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may lead to the data being compromised.
Using or ignoring any information from this site is completely your own responsibility. Nobody, including the webmaster, administrators, moderators and the author of the information can be held liable for the consequences of your or anybody elses choice to use or ignore this information.
Registration
Registration is a two step process:
1) First, you fill out the registration form. Only a nickname and a valid email address are mandatory, but we appreciate it if you let us know what country you are from in the "Location" field as well. Completing the form creates an "inactive account".
2) An email will be sent to the address you supplied. Use the link in this email to activate your account. After clicking this link registration is complete.
To keep our userlist clean, accounts that have not been activated after two weeks will marked for deletion. An email will be sent to the user and if the account is still inactive one week later, the account will be deleted.
Also, accounts that have not visited the site for over three months, will be marked for deletion. An email will be sent to the user and if the account has still failed to visit two weeks later, the account will be deleted.
Nicknames that are abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening or sexually-oriented are not allowed. Using two accounts for the same person is not allowed. It is also not allowed to use a singe account with multiple persons.
Forums
Try to post your message to the correct forum. This will help people find your message later.
It is not allowed to post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-oriented or any other material that may violate any applicable laws. Doing so may lead to you being immediately and permanently banned (and your service provider being informed). The IP address of all posts is recorded to aid in enforcing these conditions. The webmaster, administrator and moderators of this site have the right to remove, edit, move or close any topic at any time should they see fit.
Postings and subjects with CAPITAL letters only are not allowed. As on the rest on the internet, capitals are considered shouting. If you want to shout, use Notepad.
This is an international site. As such, the language to be used is English. It is not allowed to post messages in any other language. If you feel that your English is bad, than by all means, post your message in bad English.
It is not allowed to use this board to organize or advertise meetings if they are unreasonably restrictive in selecting the people that are allowed to enter or visit.
Play ball
We are an international board with people from different backgrounds. It is inevitable that we are going to have disagreements over certain issues. We allow, even welcome heated discussions, but we draw the line when things get personal. As soon as players start to attack the man instead of the ball, the moderators will interfere.
Spam
"Spam" , or unsolicited promotion for products, services or other sites are not allowed. If you want to promote something, you can put the URL in your profile (will be displayed underneath all your posts as a "Homepage" icon), in your signature (see below) and post it to the Members homepages in the links section.
Signatures
Signatures are displayed underneath your postings. Signatures that visually interfere too much with discussions are not allowed.
Guidelines:
- Default size and colour text only. Almost anything goes, but the paragraph on "content" above still applies. Non English signatures are allowed as well.
- Images are not allowed apart from smilies.
- Inclusion of hyperlinks to other sites are allowed.
- Keep signatures small, two or three lines max.
Pictures
Pictures should be posted to the appropriate album. If you are unsure which album to use, you can post the picture to your personal album.
Linking to pictures on this site from other sites is not allowed, and probably won't work. If you want to do this you can create a personal homepage, for instance at Lycos tripod. Save the picture to your local harddisk and upload it to your homepage.
