A used CBR 600 or SV 650 would cost half as much and you wouldn't worry (as much) about tearing it up.

I'm a big fan of the 620 school of thought. I just got one and I've been riding for 35 years. My other bike is a BMW R12GS.

Why a 620? Because in town, and in the twisties, I can ride circles around the big BM. The 620 is more flickable than the 1100 so you can immidiately start learning how to ...

If I still had my 620 this would be the upgrade path. Termis plus more power = good.

Searching the forum will reveal the reports from a few that have added the kit. Since the Termis alone are about $1200, I think it is worth it.
