If protection and comfort is the priority then any sports tourer must be worth a look. The latest guzzi norge gets good reviews just to throw you a nice little spin ball.
I've had a few big all rounders, admittedly not a 1200MTS and everyone I've owned has had issues with buffeting or wind noise ...

I sort of understand what your trying to find out but comparing folks bikes with wet cats etc. isn't really the way forward. Try, "not for me" or "I'm not a big fan of the looks". Dissing the MTS/1100 just gets backs up.

Best of luck with other screens. I was just thinking how it always seem to be a problem with "all rounders" I had a GS1200, terrible wind protection that I never really solved despite throwing money at it, my mates tiger is awful and the MTS too.
