OK, I did it. I managed to get a road test. It wasn't easy. I had to sign my life away, but that was the easy part.
The bike was fun. All around mostly great, though my ride was brief and in some dense traffic.
One problem which really bothers me:
Bad turbulence to my head from the windscreen. I ...

2008s
Do the 2008s come in around september? As you may know, I am buying a new Multistrada (test rode the Guzzi, btw), and I'm thinking, maybe I should wait. But how long? And anybody seen spy shots of the new Multi? Is it water cooled? (I just threw that in, not making rumors.)

Re: OTD Price for 07 1100 & 1100S
Sam,
Since I'm shopping too, I'm starting to think, hey, it's getting late in the season. Maybe consider an '08? When does Ducati make them available? (What is the '08 Multi gonna be like?) Or perhaps get a killer deal on a showroom straggler? Currently, I miss riding. So there are a lot of ...

Re: Road Test
Hi Jon,
Gold Coast in New Hyde Park,
Formula One Motorsports, Oakdale, NY.
Although I live in Manhattan, I have a low opinion of the one right here in Manhattan. 2 weeks ago I sat on a bike (MTS) in the showroom and had to argue with a little d-bag motobarrista about it. It's really a Starbucks ...

Re: Road Test
Thank you. I need the third set of numbers. Tomorrow I have the Guzzi test ride. But no Multi test ride.
Wanted to do them back to back. Thanks for your advice. This is a real good board!

Road Test
Getting sounds of reluctance from dealers when I ask about a road test. But I gotta ride it b4 I buy it. Did you? If you've road tested, how'd you make them say "yes" with minimal fuss?

While I was typing my last post, Scrambles' post came in. Wow, that does sound real good. That would be ideal.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Your biased opinions, please...
I'd like to thank everyone. After squeezing the clutch lever on stationary showroom Multis, I am sure I'd get some carpal tunnel flareups. In researching this right here on MTS.net I came to the conclusion that if I bought a MTS, I'd have the dealer install a Yoyodyne clutch slave master cylinder ...

Maybe me too. I mean by association. Thanks for your generous information. You see I am very serious because it's a big decision, haha. (Sorry, nervously trying to fend off future buyer's remorse.)
A few other things came to mind:
*The clutch pull seems real stiff on the new Multi. Does that ...

OK, thanks gentlemen. The Beemer is not under consideration at all. They may be fine, but are uninteresting to me. As for Starbucks...I hate what they've done to my city...haha. Really, though.

Your biased opinions, please...
Hi. I am getting a new bike within the next few weeks and I have narrowed it down to a Multi or, get this, a Griso. I am aware I am posting on Multistrada.net, yes, but to me these bikes, though they look completely different, can be used for the type of upright riding I enjoy. I will do touring ...
