Now is there a "dash issue" or a "fuel gage" issue with the 2008s ? Are there other issues? If you answered yes to either of the foregoing questions, or if there are other mechanical or electronic issues with the 1100s, please tell me.
If buying a 2009 instead of a 2008 would help me avoid those ...

gonna kinda ramble here......don't buy a bike based on its re-sale value. when i bought my 999, i naively thought that if i decided i'd made a mistake, it'd hold its value and i'd be able to unload it. wrong. they shitcanned the terblanche design and you can find them for near half what they were ...

not counting the tire kicking, I narrowed it down took out the following:
Monster S4R - found the seat to peg height no different than my 999, didn't care for the minimal wind protection
Hypermotard - was fun until about 60mph and the wind buffeting got annoying. combine that with it's piddly fuel ...
