Re: Pikes Peak UK

No shoulder issues, but my air-cooled Multi gave me odd little pains in the elbows, almost like tennis elbow, after a long ride. I switched to a lower, narrower bar (Rizoma) and the problem went away. I don't mean to discourage you from getting a Multi, but if you want to keep the Scrambler ...

Take half day test ride the dealer should be ok with this, after all you will spend a lot of money with them 🏁

Re: Thoughts? Had '06 Multi; Got GS1200; Want '13 Pikes Peak

Glad you wanting a Multi again, go test ride the 1200 for half a day. Have to say the PP is expensive on difference is paint job and lots of carbon which I don't like, bit of fancy stitching in seat, no more BHP

Buy a 1200s

Re: falling for a 2005 1000ds

Hi,

I am not technically minded but can ride technically difficult roads with style :) I did many comfortable miles on my 2005 sds he was a reliable gentleman! I am 5 ft 6 had no problem reaching the ground. The sv1000 and the fazer 1000 are great bikes too but, not as much fun as multistroodles ...

Re: Tell me I am crazy...

Let's see, $3k + $1500 = $4500. You are right, you can buy more complete bikes for around that price.

Funny thing is, I happen to know of a very fine example  : http://www.multistrada.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=246784#246784

Fly to DC and ride home!

That is one hell of a list of extras ...

Re: Multi 1200 demo ride

Agreed on the nimbleness count. I hopped on my 1st gen after returning from Calif and it was noticeably more "motard-ish."

So, if I buy a MTS1200, what to do with the Classic? It is running great, but has minimal resale having been stolen, crashed, tracked, dropped, and ridden 32k miles. Perhaps ...

Re: upgrade from a monster for long rides worth the cost?

I think you will be impressed when you ride the Multi . The ride position is gr8 gives lots of advantageous height to view the road and possible overtakes
