The dry clutch, especially with the open basket makes a wonderful sound that Ducati enthusiasts like myself really love. Dry clutch was designed more for racing (less weight on a spinning clutch when it's dry). A dry clutch also wears out faster than a wet clutch, but it's easy to replace the plates.
