Re: Is a 2010 Multi S with 44,000 miles worth considering
That is a good idea creating a matrix of sorts with maintenance costs. Thank you. One plus with the air cooled Ducs is that the best Duc mechanic in my area no longer works for a Ducati dealership but does side work out of his garage on air cooled only and it's much less expensive.

Re: Is a 2010 Multi S with 44,000 miles worth considering
yes, thank you all. And it actually has 55,000 miles not 44,000.
There is another 2010S about 3.5 hours way with 10,000 miles and for $7k
And a 2007 1100S (what can I say I love the vibe of the air cooled too) for around $4500.
Also considering a used 2016 S 1000 XR that is setup really nicely ...

Is a 2010 Multi S with 44,000 miles worth considering
There is a Yamaha dealership here that took a black super clean 2010 S in on trade about a year ago. It has new rubber and looks brand new. I guess it was owned by a pilot that used it to commute to the airport.
I wasn't able to ride it the day I was there, but they are asking $7500 and said the ...

Re: Considering 2008 Multi 1100S with no red key and 1 black
No red key is not a big deal. You will not need one unless you want to make another copy. If it really bugs you, you can send your ECU to DesmoPorsche and he will disable immobilizer for you - problem solved.

Yeah, I saw that too. Was hoping to avoid the shipping costs/complexity by buying locally, but that is a nice one.

Re: Considering 2008 Multi 1100S with no red key and 1 black
Thanks Moby. You bring up a good point. I haven't ruled out the one that is priced reasonably. I want to talk to someone at the dealership about both the tank and the key issues. My hunch is along the same lines as what you are thinking.

Considering 2008 Multi 1100S with no red key and 1 black
Hello,
Like the title says I looked at an 08 yesterday. The engine sounds solid, no leaks, relatively new sprockets, chain, new fork seals. It has 25k Miles. Even though it's an S it no longer has the front carbon fiber fender or the carbon fiber belt guards.
