Re: Anyone tested a Suzuki DL1000?

:D A friend of mine owns a DL1000. I've ridden the bike several 100 miles. My conclusions are as follows: Engine is quite powerful and smooth, handles well but the suspension is too soft when pushed hard, weird ergonomics for me, I'm 6'4". You feel like you sit down in the bike too much. The bike ...

:D Not sure what the A stands for. PTC stands for Power Torque Clutch. From what I understand it is a wet hydraulic slipper clutch. :D

Re: Multistrada 1000 as first Bike?

1000 instead of the 620

:lol: Rob, it sounds like with you're age, which is not old, you'll be okay on the 1000. I don't own one yet, but we're only talking about a bike with 84hp. Not that it's not powerful, but from what i've read the multi has a very smooth and linear powerband. I've logged a ...

Re: Very close to buying one!!

:D Hi Wade, I'm from Jackson. I met the guys from Section 8 at last years bike show at Cobo Hall. Seemed like nice people. I just sold by 1150rt a few months ago and just like you, I'm trying to decide on what to replace it with. I think I've got to have a Multi. A friend and I just went to Rosenau ...

Re: Very close to buying one!!

Yeah Larry I saw that $9000.00 Multi. Makes you think that dealer cost must be $9000.00 for an 04' which I think retailed for $11,495. Might help in negotiations! I don't know if you saw the black 04' in KY on e bay with 650 miles for $8000w/1 year of warranty left. I was going to buy that one until ...

Re: 2005 1000s DS vs BMW R 1200 GS

@FILASTRADA

I DESCRIBE A HARLEY AS AN OVERGROWN 10Hp MOBILE AIR COMPRESSOR. :D :D

HOWEVER, IN MY OPINION HARLEY'S ARE BEAUTIFUL BIKES THAT HAVE BEEN EXTREMELY RELIABLE SINCE THE TWIN CAM 88 WAS INTRODUCED.
I STILL PROBABLY WON'T EVER OWN ONE--MAYBE WHEN I'M 70 YRS OLD BUT I DOUBT IT :D :D
