YES, you're most likely to have less problems with a yamasukanda.
(you never know, you might get a bad japanese or an exceptional good italian bike)

You certainly will get more power and maybe even better control ...

Actually I considered a few bikes when I got into buying a new one, among them the monster. Since the Ducati dealer had no 1000 in stock i test drove the 800 ...

Note though that Ducati had a bad batch of engine cases for the DS engines which afflicted Monster 1000's aswell - shown by large chunks of paint literally falling off, starting at the hard end, sump etc. Should only be on a few of the very early MTS's though if at all so look out for that ...

Well, last year I did a gravel pass in the alps, abolutely no performance problem...
but;
every little stone beeing thrown from the wheels against the fairing hurts a lot, the sandy dust sitting on the tank wants to be better beeing blown off gently and anyways, would you take a fancy beauty out ...

I did about 7000km with the original setup & screen (185cm ~6 feet and a few toes :lol: ).

Now I am using the comfort screen with the "lip". Just turned that handle on the right and my head started shaking from one side to the other beeing pushed by the wind!! I looked at the speedometer ...

i wonder if the st4s would be more comfortable. also, i wonder if the st4s would be more comfortable for a passenger. there is still something that keeps pulling me to the ms. any thoughts/advice? thanks
