Re: MTS1000 or DL1000 Suzuki

for my 2 cents worth, Both bikes are too heavy to be serious dirt bikes. that being said, I have taken my multi nearly everywhere that i took my KLR 650. Like most SUV's, 99% of your riding will be on pavement. why have a tall skinny front tire that is just for looks? rumor has it that the newest V ...

Re: Offroad?

I've done lots of miles on dirt and gravel roads with my multi. like others have said, previous dirtbike experience helps. recently while coming up out of a canyon i met two riders on matching Beemer GS's that were turning around due to the road being too rough for them. just like the folks with 4WD ...

Re: Is the MS 620 good for touring?

Back around '72, I toured the US of A on a 750 honda. two up for 12,000 miles. never had a thought that I needed more power to get over the high passes in Colorado or to fight the headwinds on the praries. I just last week met a guy that rode a 305 Honda scrambler to Ohio and back from California ...

Re: Buy in America or in Italy?

I would check with customs before I bought a bike in the USA to reimport to Italy. fees may eat up your savings on the euro vs. dollar difference. while he is not in Italy you might try to get the attention of Doc who is a MUlti rider in Greece. he may be able to give you an idea of prices for ...

Re: Is the multi for me?

Hey Al, like the other have said, go for a ride on one. N.H. has one of the best dealers in the country, BCM is the name if I remember correctly. One ride is all it took for me. I'm 6'3, 225 with a back ravaged by years of construction work. When you are in the saddle, who cares what it looks like ...

Re: could the mts be "the one"?

Find a dealer that will let you do a test ride. I bypassed one to do so. I found that i didn't fit on a monster. however, one ride on the multi was all it took. I have done 6,000 miles on it so far and love it. the power was quite a step up from the bikes I have been riding, but power is like money ...
