I'm curious about this too and especially your experiance. I currently have a MTS 1100s so the nice suspension and am concerned about going to a non-Ohlins. Did you have an 1100s as well and did you find the new 1200 standard was about the same?

Do you have a pic of the softbags and the mounting hardware on a bike without the bags in place? I have a perfect set of DP black hardbags that I've not used and was thinking about the possibility of selling the hard bags and looking into softbags. Any idea of their capacity?

I get the impression that the MTS could change significantly in 2010. Something about moving in the "adventure" bike direction. I know they are popular; but really not my style. I do like the Pearl White color ...

I went from the 1200gs to the Multi and can't be happier. My GS had the Sargent Seat and the Givi windscreen and the BMW winglets and the bar backs... you get the idea. Of course that made it a great touring bike.

Well - its all suspension bits and carbon fiber bits. So, I'm not sure what your asking or looking for. Engine & drivetrain are identical.
