Re: Decisions

The Multi is a much better "All Around" bike IMNSHO.

The GT looks cool and as already stated, is a Sunday 2-up ride for ice cream kind of bike. The MTS can be used in town, tour and track. I love my Multi and think it's the cat's meow. :)

Re: Buy now or wait?

According to my dealer, the only 695cc will be the monster. 620cc multi will stop and no 800cc multi also.
The bottom line is that only 1100cc multi will be available.

Thats for Greece at least.

I'm hearing the same thing here in the states. It's sad really because the "Babystrada" is starting ...

I made a "mistake" in 1983. Can I get it erased?

Re: Multistrada 620 or 1100???

As with any product, you will have a "lemon" every now and again. However, Ducati has an image of unreliability that was founded in the past.

I find Ducati to be very reliable, just like Harley Davidson. I switched from Harley to Ducati because I wanted a bike that could go fast in the corners. If ...

Re: Multistrada 620 or 1100???

You can find a few threads about Ducati stopping the Multi 620. :(

Personally I think it's one of the dumbest moves Ducati can make. However, don't plan on it keeping the value of the bike high. The 620 Sport, only about 400 imported to North America, sells like any other used bike of that year ...

Re: Multistrada 620 or 1100???

I've been riding for 15 years, all Harley.

Now I ride a MTS 620. It has all the power I need to ride fast and is more comfortable around town than the 1000.

To give you an example if the bike is "enough"; I had a friend following me on his inline 4 Yamaha and said to me, "I can't keep up in the ...

Re: mts 620 v/s bmw 650gs

Rick, if you are going to get a Multistrada 620, get it now. Ducati is no longer importing them to North America. :(

Getting spares is easy, but the bike is gone here in NA, as of '06. :(

Re: mts 620 v/s bmw 650gs

The BMW is more dirt worthy, but unless things have changed, you are comparing a single thumper to a twin.

For me, hands down, I like twins. That's why my wife is a twin. J/K, you will see a difference in performance between the two. If you want to go down dirt roads the BMW is better.

Both are ...

Comfort: Until more than a 3-5 day tour it's very comfortable. After 5 days I want a BMW! I do 300-500 mile rides just to eat lunch. Leave in the am, eat lunch at my destination and then eat ...

Re: SV650S to MTS620 - Hey! Hey!

The MTS 620 is a great bike for touring, city commuting or canyon carving.

If I was going to do much 2up riding I would get a 1000 though. I ride solo, wife has her own 620. :) If you do want to get a 620 I suggest you hurry, there will be no 2007 Multistrada 620's.

On paper the Suzuki is the ...

Re: 1000, 620 or ....

If you are going to solo 99% of the time I would say, get the 620.

I have a 620 and a buddy has the 1000. We are both happy with our rides. He is able to take a passenger easier, but my wife rides her own 620 so I don't have the need to carry a passenger. In the real world the 620 has all the power ...

Re: would you buy considering

The Multi is great for daily commutes like your's. I ride a 620, but the riding position is the same.

The electrical system is big and strong enough for what you want to add to it, with no worries. As far as the Multi being delicate, HOGWASH!

One nice thing about the Multi is, you can commute ...

If you let me know what bags they are I might be interested.

I'm looking for a set of Ducati Soft Panniers and the frame that goes with them.

Thanks :)
