I 'learned' on a Honda CB750 - a heck of a lot bigger and heavier than a 620. I moved on to a Yama XS 1100 - even bigger still. Now I have my 620 MTS which I bough unridden etc etc. Nice, friendly, light, forgiving, bike.

I'm 175cm and the 620 is perfect. You might find sliding ahead on the seat will get your feet fully flat. As far as I understand a different seat might get you a little lower on the 1000 but I don't know how much.

500 euros for the exhaust and carbons is a great deal but 8899 for the bike doesn't ...

Dark vs Glossy black?!?!? Some people will say that with the dark you have the option to put the second brake on later an then have 2 4piston while to get that on the glossy you most replace more. I ride 2-up quite a bit on my glossy black 620 and there is plenty of stopping power from the 2 2piston ...
