Bugger the GS... I went for a test ride on the new K1200R on Saturday... and holy shit :o
I have to admit... I'm tempted to sell the Multi for one... perhaps early next year. Very comfortable, aggressive looks, and 163 hp. In fact it's the first BMW I've ever thought about buying... didn't think ...

The MTS 1000 is a very easy bike to own and ride. I've ridden 750s and 600s that are more of a handful to ride. If you were contemplating a GSXR, ZX-R, YZF or CBR of the 1000cc variety then I would not recommend it for someone just off a 250. The MTS makes much less peak horsepower and is much safer ...

Thanks for the entertaining thoughts speedtriple. I guess too that our environments would account for a lot of the difference in bike choice... you being in Scotland and me in Australia. I enjoyed your contributions and of all the triumphs... the speedtriple would be my choice too.

I'm pretty good friends with the guy who owns my local Ducati dealership. I bought their demo bike off them and he worked on the principle of knocking off $1(AUS) for every kilometre the bike had done. With converting miles to kms and pounds to $... it's all to hard.... you work it out :think: :eh:
