Re: BMW GS or Multi?

Bugger the GS... I went for a test ride on the new K1200R on Saturday... and holy shit :o

I have to admit... I'm tempted to sell the Multi for one... perhaps early next year. Very comfortable, aggressive looks, and 163 hp. In fact it's the first BMW I've ever thought about buying... didn't think ...

Re: 2nd Bike?

The MTS 1000 is a very easy bike to own and ride. I've ridden 750s and 600s that are more of a handful to ride. If you were contemplating a GSXR, ZX-R, YZF or CBR of the 1000cc variety then I would not recommend it for someone just off a 250. The MTS makes much less peak horsepower and is much safer ...

Re: Speed Triple Vs Multistrada

Re: Speed Triple Vs Multistrada

Hi, some valid points made. I have owned Ducatis for the last 15 years or so. When I look at buying another Ducati every few years, I don't look at a bike and think "yeh... that's good or bad". I tend to look at a bike and think about what I am going to do with this and that. It's hard to put into ...

Re: buying ex-demo

OK... I'm probably going to get a few disagreements with this email... but I 'll add my bit to the discussion. There are some schools of thought with modern motorcycles, especially performance bikes, that provided they are adequately warmed up first, a good thrashing during the run in period, can be ...

Re: buying ex-demo

I'm pretty good friends with the guy who owns my local Ducati dealership. I bought their demo bike off them and he worked on the principle of knocking off $1(AUS) for every kilometre the bike had done. With converting miles to kms and pounds to $... it's all to hard.... you work it out  :eh:
