That's good to hear. I'll stash that tele number away in case of "misadventure".

Re: 2005 1000ds red complete for parts
Hi,
I'm not trying to be a problem, but you're a new member (as of today) and are selling a complete Multistrada. Any chance you'd post up the VIN and give us a little history of the bike?
Just trying to make sure we're not "aiding and abetting"

Re: Looked at 2004 DS today--comments?
I ride my bike in all kinds of weather. It reads LO for the first while when I take off, I just stay conservative until it's over 100. I still rev it up to 5500 before shifts and more importantly, I don't let it lug below 4000.

Re: 1200GS or 1000S
1200gs will be heavier and seem taller. The front end is telelever and will have a different feel (some say more numb, others say more planted)--if you ride any of the R bikes, you'll get a sense of how it'll feel in a corner and on rough pavement.

Glad you like your bike. It sucks to ride a bike you hate or are embarrassed to be seen on.
I like mine too:

Re: Cagiva GC Upgrade to MTS question: to do or not to do?
Don't know what you decided, but I was at the track this summer with 2 guys that had Cagiva GCs and one of the guys had a MTS too. They did a fair amount of DS stuff and actually preferred the GCs because of that. The guy with the GC and MTS actually dumped his MTS 1 week before the track day when ...
Re: Ducati #2
If you're seriously considering using a MTS offroad, I'd go with a 620 not the 1000DS. I don't think the single sided swingarm would be as bash proof and could get really expensive.
