Hello I am new here because I didn't even know what a MS was before today. I like the bike and would like to make this my first bike ever. Do you think it is a good choice? I know it has lots of torque and not front wheel lift power to scare the stuff out of me. Is anyone selling one for around 5000$ that we know about? I would look at a dark or red. If I am crazy just let me know.
Thanks all.

I have not met anyone who didn't like this bike, just search the web for reviews by the magazines. With the tendancy towards bigger engines, the 620 could potentially be a future cult bike. I get ~55+ mpg at 75 mph with Ducati performance, whats not to like?

The only thing I can find that I don't like is the lack of numbers as far as availability. I have one here on LI but the dealer wants 8000 new. For my first bike it is a little steep. I much prefer a used one for around 6000.

The only negative - if you can call it that - are services every 6,000 miles, and bi-yearly timing belt changes. Other than that, the 620 is a fantastic bike, and makes a great multi-purpose, fun-to-ride machine!

If you mean a used 620 as a first bike, for around $5k, no you're not crazy. But you shouldn't be surprised if what you find at that price is more than a little used, maybe needs new tires, is due for a service, etc. Expect to pay more for one in excellent condition.Tuffinup2003 wrote:Hello I am new here because I didn't even know what a MS was before today. I've got a Red Multistrada with about 1800 (that's hundred, not thousand)miles that I'll let go for $6200. It's virtually flawless and has a new style hugger and a new Pirelli Diablo Strada. I'm in Dallas.

Thank you for the offer. I think by the time I purchase it and ship it up it will come around 7000. I have a dark here in Mass for 6995 brand new. What is the difference besides looks when purchasing a dark? I really do want the red but the dealer up here wants 7999 for a brand new one.

The dark has a single disc up front while the non-dark has dual disc brakes on the front. This would be worth the extra money for me.

I believe single disc was the original intended configuration.
Ducati Marketing wanted dual disc so that they could sell more.
The duals are 300mm? the single is 320mm?
I've had no problem with the single disc, it's nice to lose the extra weight, and that's coming from someone that's ridden a speed triple (dual disc) daily for the last 3 or 4 years.
