Hey guys,
hope you are well.
I'm considering buying my first Ducati this week. A Multistrada 1200, 2010 with 28K on the clock coming up for £5800 from a dealer in Cardiff.
The bike is the basic model (not the S) and comes with full Ducati service history, but the 30K service is coming soon, 6 months warranty and seems to be in great condition.
The seller said the bike has recently been serviced and had belts replaced so he said the 30K service would be just valve adjustment which is not too expensive.
What should I look for in regards to updates/recalls?
Any common gremlins I should be aware of buying my first Ducati?
Do you guys find the cost of ownership too different from other bikes?!
Cheers

Welcome aboard, sounds like maintenance had been taken care of which any recalls/updates should've been done. You can check with your local dlr. to ensure that's true. Kinda weird that they didn't do valves when belts were done.

Cost doesn’t come in to it, other bikes you just ride, Ducati’s get under your skin you bring it to life every time you turn the key and the thrill of people on the pavement turn to watch you ride by ... and the little boys mouthing wow as you pass as they hurriedly tug at their friend and point at you whizz past with that unmistakable roar....priceless
