Wow, i come on to the Want To Buy forum and the very previous post is almost for the exact thing I am looking for.

It's a long shot, but I need the rubber plugs for the rear rack mount that have the holes drilled into them to fit the OEM rear rack, as seen in this pic. Any leads appreciated!

Forestfarm, if yours are missing entirely, you are probably talking about something different than I am. I am taking about the parts in the photo above. I assume you are talking about the tiny little rubber bumpers on top of the rear rack that cushion the top case. Yeah, those fall out almost every time I ride. Super annoying. I keep meaning to glue them but I always forget, and then they get lost. I am down to my last originals. I replace them with the newer Givi brand bumpers.

Given the cost of the oem plugs it would probably be cheaper to plug the holes with dollar bills

I think it would be quite fancy to plug holes with some coins.

I'm currently away from the bike but if someone could give me detailed drawing of that part with sizes I could create a model and then you could ask someone nearby to 3d print that part.

Mine perished so I ended up ordering the stock rubber blocks and will drill them.

Parts number are:

87210431A - Plug, RH
87210441A - Plug

They were about $15 AUD each. Expensive and could have been prevented with a bit of silicone spray once a year.

There is no part number for Ducati Performance accessories parts (I mean just the holed rubber block, not the entire rear rack).

I suggest you think about "sharpening" a piece of tube to punch holes in the standard plugs. That is what I did some years ago to make my rack fit and I think a large twist drill may tear the rubber. A small hole cutter may work better than a drill if you have one.

Hope this helps, Andy

Good tip. I should be able to find a tube of the right diameter. Thanks Andy.

A wood-boring auger drill bit works for the pads as well, I believe. It's difficult to make the hole in the correct place though. You'll probably have to make it larger than the hole on the factory made ones, that fit the rack perfectly snug.
