Hello,
I have just sold my 748 (my 4th duc) and have just test ridden a MTS, I loved it except that crusing above 80 the wind just blasted into my head and shoulders. I sold the 748 to get something a bit longer legged but this blast stopped all thoughts of the MTS.
The salesman suggested the extended screen, does anyone have experience of these ? Do they work ?
Thanks
Tim

The comfort screen is just fine for me - I'm 6 ' 5" and have always used it from new. It allows cruising over 80 as long as you like - I don't get any buffeting to speak of.
Too young to worry, Too old to care.

Get the comfort screen with spoiler form DP. I did and it works great
.
I used to get wind in the face shield of my helmet with the stock screen of the MTS, but now wind is going just above my helmet. The top of my shoulders though are still getting a bit of "wind blast" as you said, but only a little; I don't notice it if I don't think about it

P.S: I'm 1.78m tall

At 5'10'' the std screen lets s smooth flow below my helmet- right on my neck. With the accessory screen without the spoiler the wind flow is hitting me closer to my head- it is noisier but warmer this past winter. I can not hear my termi music with the taller screen like I used to with the std one. Lucky-here is spring and back to the std screen and that great sound! Don

Thanks everyone, very useful. I just needed any excuse to put it back at the top of my list.
There is a very tasty black one with termis, carbon hugger and front guard at my local dealer...looks great...

Hi to all,
I completed my first firt few hundred km s with my new comfort screen w/spoiler. All is good, especially sitting up straight with cruising speeds, less effort against the wind, less mosquitos on my helmet visor... However I was negatively suprised with the tremendous turbulence once I leaned forward for highway speeding and fast curves. My generally better than average quiet Schubert S1 was sooo loud that I had to move back to the sit up straight position every time..
Has anyone experienced this turbulence issue??
Thx.

By the way 1.83m tall (~6ft)

I´m 6" and the comfort screen w/spoiler is just perfect, a different bike from 100 km/h and over. with the original it was almost impossible to do 140-180 km/h for longer periods.
Buy it!

Hi Desmodue.
Have you tried leaning forward closer to the comfort screen? Any turbulence then?? I have no complaints either as long as I sit up straight...
Tx.

No problems at all, when "racing" i use to look thru the windscreen and no problems (same as the original) and no strange turbolence in any positions exept extra noise around the helmet, but only a minor db increase. I usevaShoei top of the line helmet if that matters.babur wrote:Hi Desmodue.

Another way to make higher speeds tolerable is to buy a good helmet. I have a Nolan x-lite that is probably the best helmet for buffeting I have ever used. Better than arai, and the rest. It makes a world of difference.
