i currently have a bmw f650cs and use it for all my transportation needs. i don't have a car. i like the new mts 620 cause it has hard luggage acessories that the bmw doesn't have, and it is taller, heavier for more stable freeway riding with better fairing and windscreen. but is the mts suitable for short innercity, congested, and almost 100% lane splitting commuting like i use on my bmw f650? also when will this bike be available in the usa, california?

Welcome
And that's only one side of the coin, there's the other side also, the FUN
that you're gonna have while riding. I'm telling you this cause I also use my Multi for every day commuting with no problems whatsoever regarding spliting lanes ability etc.
...don't know, but if I had to guess I'd say till December.

i test rode a 04 multistrada 1000ds today and i loved it. at first i was concerned about the height of the bike since i am 5'8". but when i sat on the bike, it felt perfect. i could touch both feet on the ground and had no problem moving it around. so i am definitly getting a 1000cc version now. the dealer offered me their demo 04 multistrada with 2700 miles, top case, full 2 year warranty, for $10,200. good deal?
